B&B Miramonti

The B&B Miramonti is located 5 km from Lake Orta in the North of Italy, Piedmont. Lake Orta is a relatively small and natural lake in the foothills of the Alps. The water is very clear and has long enjoyed fame as the cleanest lake in Europe, many species of fish live in it. It’s a peaceful place with opportunities for meditation, but also for activities with swimming, canoeing, waterskiing etc.. You can also take a boat trip to the only island, called San Giulio. The climate, that the lake offers, is very mild and balanced, i. e. it is not too hot in summer and never freezing cold in winter. The air is very clean, ideal for recovery and regeneration.

The village of Cheggino and its surrounding

The small village of Cheggino, where the B&B Miramonti is situated, is an old and typical Italian mountain village with small alleys and several well-preserved stone houses. It is situated about 400m above Lake Orta and at the foot of Mottarone, a mountain with a beautiful view of the Alps and 7 surrounding lakes. The woods and pastures are ideal for hiking, cycling, horseback riding and in winter you can also go skiing.

B&B Miramonti

The interior architecture of the house is harmoniously designed with many arches and curves and the colours were chosen to radiate light and create an atmosphere in which the guest feels assumed. With terrace and garden there is a nice relationship between inside and outside. We live without television in order to promote an actively relationship between people and nature.

In the B&B itself it is possible to participate in yoga classes, cooking and bread baking courses.

Familiar hospitality

A B&B is characterized by its familiar hospitality. We are a 3-member Italian-German family, which gladly has guests in the house. We place great importance on good nutrition with vegetables and fruit from our own cultivation and prepare bread, cakes and jams ourselves. We purchase organic and biodynamic wholefood products. Personally we are vegetarians for over 10 years and this decision was made mainly for ethical and moral reasons, and that’s why we cultivate this conviction also for our guests. Our aim is to give a breakfast as a good basis for the upcoming day.
