About the food

Using the finest local, seasonal, organic and sustainable grown ingredients, Leslie will cook you breakfast. Choose from pancakes, waffles, tofu scrambles, omelettes, super food smoothies and lots more. Served with your choice of fair trade organic coffee, organic green and herbal teas, hot cacao or cocoa made with coconut milk and Leslie's famous non caffeinated chai. Well water is also available all over the house, and Leslie is happy to also offer you well water with sliced organic lemon or infused with garden fresh herbs. Leslie grows many organic herbs, edible flowers, salad greens and more. She cooks amazingly delicious meals with fresh picked ingredients from her organic garden and from her CSA, the organic farm nearby. Also, Leslie offers artisan local grass raised organic cheeses, eggs, sourdough breads, and lots more. For extra fees, Leslie is also happy to cook you up simple or elegant organic lunches, picnics, romantic dinners, meals for a special occasion, and/or create recipes specific to your taste and dietary preferences. Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets are Leslie's specialty.

About the kitchen

The open kitchen, located in the southeast corner on the first floor is filled with natural light from all sides of the open layout of the first floor. There are natural local stone counters, plenty of counter space for cooking classes and cooking. Hand made beautiful solid Ash wood  kitchen cabinets include a long shelve underneath the cabinets full of organic spices to create global flavors with local produce. Plaster walls, a masonry heater, wood fired brick oven, and tile floors keeps the 1st floor cool in the summer and holds the heat in the colder months. There is a gas 4 burner (Wolf) professional stove. For cooking lessons, thee are plenty of wood and stainless steel cooking utensils, ceramic vegetable knives, wooden cutting boards, glass and lead free ceramic bake pans and pie plates, cast iron, stainless steel, and enamel cookware. Truly an Eco-Friendly, natural kitchen where Leslie loves to cook and inspire your home cooking.
